Welcome to the Cannabis Museum. We document and present the hidden history of the mainstream use of Cannabis. Prior to its ban in 1937, for political reasons only, cannabis had 25,000 uses in commerce: food, fuel, fiber, and medicine.
We create fine photography and extensive educational materials designed to inform the public about the use of Cannabis prior to its prohibition in 1937. We sell our art to dispensaries, medical offices, collectors, and museums worldwide. Access to the collection is made available to researchers from around the globe. We are currently working to make more of our materials available online.
We support our work by the sale of high-quality photographic images on a variety of archival substrates, complemented by contemporary designs and quality custom framing. The museum also designs free-standing artifact collections for public interaction. These are site-specific and custom-made for a wide variety of clients. We continue to receive critical acclaim for the artifact displays we design for award-winning dispensary and medical office interiors.
The Cannabis Museum is an Ohio 501(c)(3) educational and research nonprofit organization, dedicated to revealing the history of mainstream cannabis use in the United States and around the world. It collects, preserves, and shares the history of cannabis use, culture, prohibition, and politics.
